Microsoft looking for bridges to the open source community
Software
Microsoft's attitude towards the open source community has changed according to a representative of the company during the InfoWorld's Open Source Business Conference in San Francisco.

"We do not underestimate the possibility of building bridges that will allow different divisions of the industry to work together" announces the corporate manager Brad Smith.

He speaks about the challenge of building a scalable and affordable bridge that is needed more than ever.

"Microsoft recognizes the important role of the open source software in the software industry" he adds.

"We are all software developers and are part of the same industry that includes a lot of components" says Brad Smith, stressing on the MS's changed attitude towards the open source developers.

At the end he admits that his words are not exactly what the open source community is used to hearing from Microsoft. Well, I am quite surprised myself also.
