We are happy to announce the new design of Open Source Guides. I thought the old one is so boring and then we decided to change the design to something new. The template for Joomla! has been downloaded from themesbase.com. The template's name is "Green Flower Power". Of course we have made some changes and included some features to the template that ware missing. We hope you like it!

As you may have noticed there is a new category Desktop Environment with the first article inside How to make gnome panel transparent.

Our hosting company informed us that on Saturday, January 23, 2010, they will be performing some electrical and network enhancements in their Phoenix data center where our server is located.  This maintenance window will begin at 11:00 pm Eastern and will end at 2:00 am Eastern on January 24, 2010.

We are happy to announce the new forum of OSGuides.net. It is phpBB 3 based using the Apple template.
